The manual states that the card can support both fixed and variable speed
ZIF's from many manufacturers. It goes on to say that "they" can only assure
fully-compatible performance with Apple and XLR8 ZIF's. (Page 21, "G3 & G4
Install & User Manual", revision mi_carrier_102199_C).
