Joe, that's just great, start a flame war.  You automatically assume it's my fault and 
not Maxtor's.  Thanks, really smart, what a great contribution.  If you actually read 
my first post, I tried to find out what was wrong, and could not because the rebate 
phone "support" was crap.  The postcard they sent to inform me that my rebate was 
denied did tell me the reason was a previous rebate claim, which, since it was my 
first and only Maxtor purchase is completely riduculous.  I also don't know how many 
identical box labels with stickers I can submit, but apparently they think I can 
submit more than one.  As for taking things personally, I'm out $30.  I'd say that is 
personal enough for me, what you think on this is irrelevant.  I would not have bought 
the drive at the time without the rebate.  I didn't have an immediate need for it, I 
could've waited a bit to upgrade as needed, but it was a good deal, and a great 
incentive.  Unfortunately, Maxtor hasn't come through on this for
 me.
