What about spraying the label side with a clear coat of paint? For those that 
are unfamiliar, cars have a clear coating applied after the color paint, and 
I think it's called Kleer Coat, or some such. What about ScotchGuard? There 
must be some spray paint can stuff that will do what we're talking about.
