I am curious about the poster and the cd only allowing 3 "authorizations". I agree with a couple of the replies that it does seems somewhat curious. I had purchased an early version of Cubase a few years ago off ebay and used up the authorizations on the floppy and was SOL. The seller had purchased the software/manuals and stuff as part of an estate so they didn't have any way to transfer ownership and Steinberg never answered the inquiry. I think the floppies were all in protected mode so how would they know? I suspect it doesn't necessarily involve the installation medium but if so, how would my Cubase have known it had been installed previous to my installations? Strange indeed. Dean
