Yes, I have the Wavecom audio/video sender and it works great for 
transmitting a composite video signal and stereo audio from an output 
source (cable box, VCR, camcorder). I was very impressed with the 
quality of the video but the audio picks up some background noise or 
hiss in the process. It's fine for audio for video to a TV where the 
hiss is not really noticeable but I do not think it would work well 
for listening to music for anyone who is at all discerning about 
sound quality.  I have not tried, it may be OK with a quality  audio 
source input but I think the noise level is generated in the 
sending/receiving process. For a computer, obviously you need an A/V 
model (like 8500) or an A/V card.

I got mine brand new on eBay  (although I've seen them get overbid 
there, too...be smart!)  for a lot less than Radio Shack sells  the 
same basic unit. The Wavecom SR. is the same as mine except it has 
the ability to transmit the signal for the device remote so you can 
control it ( a VCR, etc.) from another room.
