Grant, have you been to ; http://www.zone6400.com/index.html
You'll have to search around, but the info on the 5500 should be there. You are talking about the PowerMac 5500, and not the StarMax 5500 ??? Try this; http://www.everymac.com/upgrade_cards/vimage/index.html >From this page, it appears Vimage made 3 cards w/G3 240. The Vpower PM 4400 will be what you have, the Vpower PF is what you need ... The 5500 and the 4400 are different designs. The PM 5500 used the Gazelle architecture ... The PM 4400/7220 used the Tanzania architecture. There are quite a few used Sonnet L2 cards around. Those that fit 5400/6360/6400/6500, will work in your 5500 I believe. http://www.everymac.com/upgrade_cards/index.html A good start to see what works and is available. Then try the LEM Swap List HTH ...
