Thank all of you soooooo much for offering ideas, support and answers
to my various questions.

Buzzing noise coming from a PM6500 tower solved !!!!!

I removed my CPU fan for a sound test and was greeted with total silence.

I added a drop of oil in the back under the sticker and reinstalled the CPU fan and
I was good to go!

I had concluded that my problem was the supply fan and was going the route
of replacing the power supply until I decided it was MUCH easier to test out a
solution on the CPU fan and eliminate that first as a source of the problem.

I still plan to buy a replacement fan at Radio S. for the long haul.

Thanks again, Gail
