Charles, I have a 6500 w/a Sonnet G3/500 in ... made a big difference from the original 603e/250. For what I paid for the Sonnet L2 card, you can find a Beige G3 or possibly a Blue and White G3. Both have considerably more expansion, and you're starting w/a G3 > With only 2 PCI slots and 128MB RAM limit ... Major draw back is the RAM limit which prolly will never change. > Is there an alternative 100Base-T ethernet that doesn't use the PCI slot? There are Ethernet cards available that go into the COMMunication Slot, where the internal modem usually resides. Specifically, Comm Slot II cards, as there are also Comm Slot I cards (older machines) that will not work in a 6500. Not sure if 100BaseT are available, mine is 10BaseT. Good fortune ...
