Have you looked on the bottom of the drive, on the side of the logic board 
on the drive?  On my Quantum 4.3gb, there were a bunch of jumpers (real 
little) labeled A0,A1,A2,PK,TE.  They correspond to 1,2,4 on SCSI ID 
(A0-A2), park (no function), and terminate (to add termination).  To set the 
scsi id to say, 5, you'd set 4 (A2) and 1 (A0) to get a total of 5.  They 
were kind of hard to find, but yours are probably in the same area.  Good
