When I acquired my fax card recently the seller told me that there is a LaserWriter utility versions 8.2.3f & 8.3.4 that included the fax feature. They recommend I use 8.2.3f because it's more comprehensive, and was specifically tailored for the fax feature. It includes the Laserwriter Fax program, which is all you'll need to use the card. It allows you to set up your cover sheet, set number of rings before answering, and also keeps a log of incoming/outgoing faxes. They also stated: Version 8.3.4 will allow faxing by holding the option key down when you print (in some app's), or choosing to send your job to the fax within the print dialog box. If you find that 8.3.4 is better, or have trouble with 8.2.3f, you can still use the Laserwriter Fax software with 8.3.4, since it's a stand-alone utility. I however have not wired in a phone line to the printer to test any of this out....... and he also stated it would not work in OS X.......... Here is some info I found at apple.com <http://download.info.apple.com/Apple_Support_Area/Apple_Software_Updates/English-North_American/Macintosh/Printing/LaserWriter/LW_8.2.3f_Driver_Only_Info.txt> Go here http://www.info.apple.com/support/oldersoftwarelist.html and search for 8.2.3 or 8.3.4 to find them........
