Hello, I'm new to this group. I've recently upgraded my PowerMac 8600/250/96mb/4gb hard drive to a ..
8600/800/875mb/4gb + 60gb hard drives using Sonnet PCI G4 800MHz/1M and ... a Templo Trio Sonnet ATA133 firewire USB 2.0 combo PCI Card with a HDD WD Caviar XL 60GB ultra ATA Hard drive .. and 875mb of Memory. I did this all under the idea I would be able to run OS X 10.2! I am have a problem installing OS X 10.2. I currently have OS 9.1 installed on the original 4gb hard drive. I have partitioned the 60gb hard drive to have a 8gb partition as the first partition on the 60gb hard drive. I made sure that the firmware was current on the Templo Trio (3.2.5) I've tried Sonnet's PCI X Installer with no luck. Tried xPostFacto software. And, When using XpostFacto software after it installed from the OS X CD to the Partitioned hard drive it did restart my computer automatically. But in OS 9.1. Shouldn't it be restarting in OS X? What am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated. John C.
