Just been reading Digest # 1838 with reference to AOL and its less than
stellar performance, as well as the notes from others such as Liliana,
somewhat in support of AOL.

One of Cox arguments with me, has been due to my refusal to use IE which
is the only one they support. Initially @home supported Netscape, up to
V4.7. Cox has been pushing for IE. No, I am not a lemming and will not
follow that route for many reasons.

I suggest they have no right to force use of one browser or e-mail
program only. Many of their Care Center employees outright refuse to
assist me. I usually ask for supervision.

In any event, once in a while one of the phone persons will tell me, it
is because of the tie between Netscape and AOL, and "competition." That
is their problem and should not be mine. I find it interesting that
Liliana mentions a "go around" method of opening stuff AOL will not, and
one way she has mentioned is Netscape??? Just what is going on?
