I was wondering if anyone else has had bad experiences with this drive. I've
had one in my 7500 (180 mhz) for about a year with no problems, and I've
been considering picking up another for one of my other machines.

My ST-15150N lasted for YEARS in my Q650.

The Q950, and the related WGS95 and WGS9150 models are designed for FIVE
ST-15150Ns.

A very good drive, and often available for about $15 today.

Probably the most reliable 1.6" high Seagate SCSI drive made.

My other question is about properly terminating the thing. The diagram has
six options and I'm never sure which one to use:
-Terminate power from drive
-Terminate power from SCSI bus
-Terminate power to SCSI bus
-Terminate power to SCSI bus and drive
-Enable drive terminator
-Disable drive terminator (obviously not this one)

What's the difference between "termination from" and "termination to"?
Aren't the CD-ROM drives on the PowerMacs terminated as well?

Pin 25 of the SCSI interface from the host adapter is supposed to provide
terminator power. Pin 25 is NOT supplied with terminator power on ALL Macs.

The ST-15150N has a special terminator chip, not a passive terminator.

"Terminate power from drive" takes terminator power from the +5 volt supply
to the drive.

"Terminate power from SCSI bus" takes terminator power from pin 25 of the bus.

"Terminate power to SCSI bus" results in the drive's +5 volt supply being
supplied to the SCSI bus as well. Isolation is provided through a diode.

"Terminate power to SCSI bus and drive" is just what is stated.

"Enable drive terminator" enables the terminator chip on the drive.

"Disable drive terminator" disables the terminator chip on the drive.

For the SCSI chain to work properly, there must be a source of terminator
power. Normal protocol is to assume that the host is providing this power AND
for each attached drive to also provide this power to the bus. This works
because each drive has an isolating diode.
