I don't know about OS X, but if you think you might have a problem 
try the memory test in Newer's Guage Pro.   It found a problem 
between my G3/500 and 960MB of memory in my 9600 that the memory test 
in Tech Tool Pro didn't.   I was able to tweak my processor settings 
to set the cache to 'write back' which was slightly slower, but has 
produced and extremely stable system.
