MAY BE, JUST MAYBE, THE REASON MY 6360 isn't spinning up  and seeing the
hard drive, could be because by brother in law unplugged the machine and
put it in his closet for awhile before he handed it to me, and the PRAM
is dead????

hmmm. possible?
I replaced all the other PRAM batteries in my macs as soon as i found
them. it never occurred to me to do it with this, probably because i
havent made that association with this new kind of battery yet.

ok-it couldn't 'hoit'--where does a person in a major metropolitan city
get a 4.5v square alkaline battery for a mac PPC motherboard?
radio shack or is there a better price?
