Don't say Xmas or Happy Holidays!
It's CHRISTMAS!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS
From my ancient but still useable Random House Webster's Electronic:
------------------
Xmas (kris'ms; often eks'ms)
     1. Christmas.
Usage. The abbreviation XMAS for Christmas dates from the
mid-16th cent. The X is the Greek letter chi, the initial in the
word Xpi s (Christos) " Christ. " In spite of a long and
respectable history, today XMAS is objectionable to many,
perhaps because of its associations with advertising. It is not
   used in formal writing.
------------------
And I sincerely hope everyone had a good one.

Now to get back on-topic, I have only Apple monitors but am in total
agreement with Ed T's question about "why pay more?" Only reason I
have only Apple monitors is because I've picked up four used ones in
the past year, two at Apple resellers and two at thrift stores, and
only the AppleVision 1710 was the five dollar gamble in which I lost.
This list has helped me get to the point where I have broken into it
and am in the process of replacing a board for it (if it's too
expensive, I'll give it back to the Salvation Army or put it on the
Swaplist for the "free: local pickup only").

peace....
