Dear List:

I have tried to install OS 10.2 on a G3-accelerated 8500 with 320MB RAM. I
used XPostFacto to perform this installation. The computer booted up from
the OS X disk, but when it attempted to initiate the installation process a
message came up saying that an error occurred trying to install this
software. I tried this several times, but each time the installation failed.
I even tried earlier versions of X PostFacto, but this did not make a
difference.

I also tried an earlier version of OS X (10.0.3) to see if anything
different would happen. Well, it did. I heard the start up chime, then
nothing. I waited several minutes to see if anything appeared on screen, but
absolutely nothing.

????

Roland :)

P.S. 256 MB of RAM purchased from OWC. Works perfectly well in OS 9.2.2 and
9.1.
