It sounds like a ZIF card, especially being from a Power Mac G3. You can 
also use it in a 7300-9600 as well but via a ZIF carrier adapter card 
that goes into the processor slot.

By "Beige Powermac" they must mean either the Beige G3 Minitower or 
Desktop, the last of the Beige Macs. Starting with the Mach V 8600/9600 
the L2 cache is on the processor card, so there's no cache slot on the 
logic board.
