Have just recently acquired an elderly LaCie d2 CD writer (a packaged
Philips CDD2600) 2xWrite and 6xRead. It's in a very clean condition but am
not sure how much use it's had. It basically writes OK (albeit slowly!) but
it's not keen on reading and won't write in 'session' mode which, according
to the Philips spec., it should be capable of. Any ideas anyone? Would it be
worth getting a CD lens cleaner gadget or is it more likely to be simply a
case of 'wear and tear'?
