However, according to the current manufacturer/distributor of XLR8 products, 
all current 3/4-sized XLR8 ZIFs are both MPE and SSE.

Only the older 3/4-sized products with the red DIP switch are not SSE without 
the addition of a PAL chip.

The current 3/4-sized ZIFs have a black DIP switch, and the location on the 
board which would have held a PAL chip for SSE support is no longer needed, 
so it isn't "stuffed".
