I found an XLR8 upgrade card in a beat to $@#& 7500. The card seems to work, but I have a few questions:
1) The card says XLR8 by Interex (1998)? I assume that this is XLR8 - the company that just folded? What model is this? 2) The card has a sticker that says MACh Speed 604e, but underneath it says XLR20 300/1M - Metronome confirms that this is a G3 300/1M. What's with the 604e notation? 3) Now that XLR8 is no more, how do I get a serial number to use their driver/cache software? 4) I am currently using the Powerlogix software to enable the backside and disable the external cache - ASP shows that this is a 333 MHz G3 w/ no backside but a functioning external cache. What gives? 5) There is a 12-pack of dips on the board. Anyone know/have the look up table for thee switches? Thanks. MB! -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
