Is that from Coast-to-Coast Memory's site? I ordered six EDO 128MB DIMMs 
from them and they work fine with the xlr8 ZIF carriers in my Macs. But 
back when I ordered them that disclaimer wasn't there.

It's probably better to spend the extra $5 per and order from 
macsales.com. They specifically state that their's work with g3/g4 upgrades.
