I mounted an internal 20/10/40 Yamaha IDE (they are cheaper now that 32x models are abundant) with an Iodata IDE to SCSI bridge attached behind the burner. Ripping well compiled 600 MB files could take 3 minutes. Toast Titanium 5.2 recognizes the drive as Iodata CDR2200E, except I can't boot from a system CD nor from Norton Utilities CD at startup.
