My 8500 is making me crazy. I finally got OS 8.5 installed. I then
upgraded to 8.6. Next I installed CarbonLib. Then I installed OpenGL.
When I restarted after installing OpenGL, the boot progress bar got up to
about 10% then froze. I tried rebuilding the desktop, and PRAM zap, but it
skipped them and tried to boot. Again to the same point and froze.
I put the installation disk in and held down Cntrl, option, apple and
"C". But, it skipped to the hard drive and froze again in the same spot.
I just put this Mother board in my 7200 case yesterday and have been
unable to get it to work.What am I doing wrong?
Also, when I click on restart after an installation, I get a distorted
chime then nothing.
