Hi all. A new year and new questions.

I just installed iCab 2.8.2 and love it. Very fast and smooth. Is there a
way to set up my email (without using 3rd party apps) within iCab, or is
that one of the ways they keep it small and fast?

BTW: I got a response from Netscape Tech about their lack of support for
frames on web pages. As expected, they said it was a problem in my computer.

Strange that everyone who has used NS 6.x, 7.x and Mozilla has had the same
problem! Internet Exploder, (Mac and PC versions tested) NS 4 and earlier
and iCab all display the frames with no problems.

I tried giving finite values to the frames, (200 and 440 pixel widths)
rather than using 31% and * settings and the newer NS versions recognized
both frames. Looks like someone forgot to consider variable .html settings
for frames while writing the Mozilla code. (Used in the current NS
versions) That is fine if you want to use the PC technique of "Best viewed
at 800x600 resolution" or the like, but most web designers prefer their
sites to show properly for all resolutions.

Flash and Java are the "trend" right now, so the older, simpler
technologies are forgotten or not supported. Makes a person wonder what will
happen to all of those expensive high tech Java and Flash websites when NS
decides that something else is better!

TIA
David Allen
