Yes Theresa,
I felt my first comment on this thread acknowledged that as
implict. But if you look there are publications for grownups. Hot Rod
magazine features machinery of ancient vintage. And newly trendy Yoga
Journal Hhas featured senior citizens for over a decade that I know of.
If you have the cash to throw away and buy new you are blessed. But I am
all in favor of upgrades and restoration. I don't like to constantly
reinvest totally. In technology or people there is room in the world for
all vintages.

But in the other fields such as PCs and houses the third party
manufacturers have enough faith in their target buying pool to advertise
via support of a magazine. Any out of work publishers out there looking for
a market niche ? Mac users only have to look at the AMIGA for an example
of a user community left in the lurch by the confusion of manufacturers
on publicity as well as a Corporation which floated around in ownership
due to industry and public misinformation.. We Amigans are still hanging in
and the G3/G4 accelerators are now shipping. . But getting the word out has
been difficult without a News stand presence..
And NO I don't want any flack about Amigas. Thank you .
