I have a 7200 case that had a 7500 motherboard in it. For some reason
when I try to do a restart, the indicator light on the computer is green but
it does not reboot.
I switched the 7500 board for an 8500 board, but it still does it. So,
I installed a different hard drive. That didn't solve the problem either.
Finally, I tried a different cable. Still the same.
There is only one hard drive and one CD ROM on the cable. The CD ROM is
set to ID 3. There is a pair of pins on the back of it labeled "Term
Power". It originally had a jumper on one pin but not the other. I tried
it with the jumper on both pins, but nothing. What is left to try?
