there was a thread just days ago about buying new PRAM batteries from radioshack, and someone said to get the 844's because they last longer, rather than the 840's that the radio shack page for them lists to put in the performa 5xx's
no mention of the other mac models, or the name "mac" anywhere in their lists. this one is to go in a 6360. I just ordered an 844 from radioshack, keeping that thread in mind, and then when I didn't see the name 'mac' or 'performa' anywhere in their list of computers it goes in, i backpedaled and looked up the 840 and sure enough, the only thing listed that it goes in, said 'performa 5xx' now I'm wondering if I should go back and change my order before it's too late. what's the difference between the 844 and the 840? amperage? anything? will the 844 make any difference to my 6360? she assured me they move a lot of them so I will get one with lotsa juice, fresh off the line, not an old one that's been sitting there for months. janet you can reply to me directly for faster response, since I'm in digest mode. http://community.webtv.net/mensabrains/BADCODE -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
