Sorry Tom, but whichever device is terminated MUST be the last device on the 
cable, whatever place that is on the cable. Let's see if I can clear this up. 
Let's say you have a SCSI ribbon cable with 6 connectors (the plastic piece 
that plugs into a SCSI device) as part of the cable. You must connect THE one 
and only device with the termination, physically to any of the 6 connectors, 
but it has to be physically connected farthest from the motherboard, whether 
that be the first, third, etc. connector. All non-terminated devices must be 
between the terminated device and the motherboard, etc.

<< Location on cable shoud not matter. SCSI ID number is he important thing. 
But, no, the device's position on the cable should not matter.
