If you need more drive space an 8600 would be a good choice. The 9600 
has the same great minitower case, 6 PCI slots, and 12 DIMM slots, but 
no built-in video or A/V capability (3 extra PCI slots more than make up 
for this, IMHO). But if you upgrade your case with a 7500, 7600, or 8500 
logic board the processor can be upgraded just the same as the other 
Macs. A g4/800MHz card made by Sonnet is the fastest upgrade to date.

Check eBay for cheap 7500 logic boards.
