to R.A. Cantrell: jeez. 4 tons of mac circuit boards.!!!! where are these stored right now? are they all jumbled up or still separated and undamaged? anyone know who's paying to have them hauled away and how much the hauler is getting to do it for em? know how long before the final date is?
I wonder if there's anyplace, or several places, that would like a chance to have at them, or some part of them. there's houses online that carry mac parts that might want a shot at the load, to replenish their backorders or rare parts. ICN near me seems to do stuff like this. PC liquidators might want a section of this action. ask the warehouser if they'd be willing to let interested places take some of it, or even delay the hauloff, to give some time to ask these places if they want to take some of it, or all of it. see if their promary interst is emptying the storage space or making money off the hauloff. myself, I'm still looking for that rare IIfx RAM with the 64 pins, if you could recognize a IIfx motherboard on sight. hm.. rare parts... I'd guess...thinking of things people ask for... pre-1.44 floppie drives? the 400 and 800 MB kind? nubus video cards? radius rockets? jeez... a poor nation like Russia or red china could buy this whole load and build the boards over into cheap PC cases and make working macs for their poverty scraping people for nearly nothing.... that's 4 tons of ways to defy the microsoft world monopoly, just sitting there, staring us in the face. and one guy, one american, just holding the keys and the calendar. see what you can find out before its's too late. you can reply to me off list, or on. we oughta try to get these into the right hands before it's all over. janet http://community.webtv.net/mensabrains/BADCODE -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
