Maybe Disk Copy version 6.4 (for Mac OS 8.5.1 - 9.x.x) or Disk Copy
version 6.5b11 (for Mac OS 9.1 - 9.2.2)?

Bad news, .img files are OS X packages. I don't know of any apps that
will open them in 9.
