On most pre-Beige G3 PCI Macs, there are two completely separate SCSI buses.

The internal SCSI is Bus 0 and is 10 MB/sec; the external SCSI is Bus 1, and 
is 5 MB/sec.

The host end has automatic termination.

The physical end of the internal and external chains both need to be 
terminated.
