A friend of mine has a problem with Eudora.

She is running Mac OS 8.6 on a 7100 with 74 MB of RAM, and had installed
Eudora 5.1. She had tried out Outlook, exported Eudora data to Outlook,
didn't like it, and apparently tried to re-import data from Outlook into
Eudora.

I worked on her machine until 3:00 AM, but could NOT get the application
to work:

"Eudora can not continue.
-operation failed
there was not enough memory
-8738
       (12:167)"

I assigned up to 25 MB of RAM to Eudora 5.1, but no change.

As I don't use Eudora, where are the files (user profiles, mailboxes,
address books, etc.) kept?

Before any attempt at a re-install, I'd want to archive my friend's
saved mail and other data, and I didn't see any "Eudora preferences"
folder in the Mac OS system...

-Martin
