USB works well in the PCI Macs. You must be running OS 8.6 or 9.1. The USB card you buy should be marked as Mac compatible and/or OHCI compliant. Look for a 2 port USB card as some 4 port cards are known not to work in Macs. If you are running OS 8.6, you will need to download USB adapter card support 1.4.1 from Apple.
