I seem to recall Stuffit giving me trouble in the past, and I think the only 
way I found to get around it was to delete all the stuffit things from my hard 
drive, prefs, extensions, and then install a copy of the most recent stuffit 
expander.  I realize this is a bit drastic, but I haven't had any trouble after 
that.  Besides, I was never using Stuffit, and that blasted Stuffit Spacesaver 
corrupted more files that I care to think about.  Better to get a new hard 
drive than stuff all your files!
