The Web Cam setup consists of a consumer-grade video camcorder
connected to a Power Macintosh 8500 equipped with an A/V card. Software
includes MacWebCam for the picture-taking and video-streaming, Quid Pro
Quo for the Web server (for the static images), and clip2gif (using
AppleScript) to create the smaller images. To attempt to keep bandwidth
down, the images are saved as low resolution JPEG files.
