In my opinion, the 7300 is a relatively simple machine
to work on.

Open the case by depressing the two lock buttons on
the front and pulling it toward you. With the case
off, you'll see the hard drive(s) directly in front of
you. They mount to plastic rails which slide and lock
into place from the bottom. Look below the drive in
the center and you'll see a plastic tab that you'll
need to depress and then you can slide the drive
toward you, right out of the front... Remember to
take the Power and SCSI ribbons loose from the back of
the drives first so you don't end up pulling on them
and damaging them. If you have more than one drive,
I'm assuming the top one is the primary boot disk and
the bottom one is additional??? Be sure to check and
see what SCSI ID's they are using and/or if you have
any free if you don't plan on replacing one of the
drives...

If you need to, there is a small (2" square) plastic
piece towards the center of the right side of the
case. Thats the "foot" if you want to swing the drive
assemblies out of the way to access the Motherboard..
Just swivel the foot around so that it is facing
outside the case, release the two plastic clips at the
front and rear on the left side then swing the whole
thing over onto the foot... (It's hinged)

Cheers,
Sionnach
