I agree, Ive got an old Rasterops and I love it.
I would look on the back of the monitor
and there should be some designations for
the brand and model number of the tube.
mine is Sony GDM 1950 and look on the web for
what fixed frequency monitor refresh rates
are for this tube. Set your VGA-mac adapter
to correct setting (griffin or i have old umax)

Also I would suggest to open her up and tweak
the potentiometers. I did this and it really
cleaned up any blurry edges and areas within
the pciture screen. Be careful in doing this
make small tweaks.

My rasterops also has potentiometers on the
inside to set general Vertical hold and Horizontal
hold too. This may be your last step in getting
a good picture.

I have had trouble with ATI video cards
reading and matching this fixed frequency monitor.
(i bought and returned radeon 700 mac)
I use the onboard video supplied from Apple
on my PM8600

good luck!

Fixed frequency monitor. Need a card to drive it
(usually). Or one of
Griffin's adapters. Look on epay for Radius, PCI and
the like. Ought
to
be able to find one that will drive it for <$50.
