The one time I've installed and used Softwindows, it was still running
Windows, just a modified version. Although I'm not entirely sure of this as
I once installed a Win95 disk from a Compaq on... I want to say Softwindows
3.x that came with Windows 3.1 originally, but don't quote me on that as
it's been awhile. It worked just fine, if slowly, on the 5300/100LCs I was
admining at the time.

My guess is, it would depend on if you have the Mac Folder sharing turned
on. If VPC/SoftWindows is set up to mount some Mac folder on the Windows
side, you're putting at least part of your Mac file system at risk.
Anything lower than the shared folder should be safe though, as the virus
won't be able to do anything on the Mac side even if the files themselves
get infected.

I suppose Word Macro viruses might be the lone exception, but I'd hope not ;)
