I have an external firewire drive that was divided into three
partitions. After months of use, my 8600 can no longer mount one of the
partitions. At startup it declares it unreadable and asks if I want to
reformat the partition, which of course it sees as a drive.

I gve tried Norton, DiskWarrior, TechToolPro, FWB Toolkit, Anubis
Utilities, and anything else I can think of to mount this partition. to
no avail. Will anyting mount it?

Additionally, I want to backup data from the other two partitions, so
that I can reformat the drive as one partition. When I attempt to copy
data to another firwire drive, I get drive erros. Does this portend
something more sinister than a corrupt directory, like an immenent
hardware failure?

Thanks for this great list,

Warren Bowman
