-- Hello! Recently I bought an 8600 and a G4/700 Sonnet card. Initially I interleaved the ram, but after getting some crashes and because I did not see a very large increase in speed over a 6500 with a Newertech G3/400 card, and after reading some posts on this list, I de-interleaved the ram.
It seems that the computer is running faster and is generally more responsive. Graphics appear almost instantaneously, and apps open faster. But this is subjective. Would Bruce or someone be willing to enlighten us on the fact and fiction of interleaved ram and Sonnet cards? I am thus far finding this list quite helpful. Thanks.
