Not sure... once I started looking at upgrades, I decided to spring $10 for a 7600 Mb from eBay and pick up the cheaper upgrades when I'm ready... Of course, part of that was finding a 120 Mhz PPC 603 (not a huge jump, I know) processor card in a box of other parts. While I like the 7200, I'd *really* say find a 73/75/7600 mainboard. (It's an easy, drop-in replacement.) The only "other" thing you'd need to pick up is VRAM (or a video card) as the 7200 has 1 Mb built in, the 73/75/7600 has none. Other advantages: - With the 7200, the Sonnet upgrade uses a PCI slot. Put in a video card and USB card, and you're done. The 73/75/7600 has a dedicated processor slot, so you can use that PCI slot for something else - like an IDE controller card. - The 7200 has four RAM sockets. The 7600 (the board I got) has eight - I can fit up to 1 Gb RAM in there. - Either the 7600 upgrades are cheaper, or faster for the same (list) price, depending on how you want to look at it. Having said all that, I can't think of any real complaints I've heard about the PM 7200 upgrades. >Some day there will be only two kinds of people. Those who >use computers, and those who use Apples.
