I DID do it! Put a 64meg (I think) sd100 chip in my PM7500 and powered up. Had a few probs like the floppy drive wouldn't work and ram doubler died. So I removed the chip, booted back up and reinstalled ram doubler and everything has been fine since. When I found out that the ram ran at different power (3.3v instead of 5v?)I count myself very lucky my mac is still alive and well.
I had the (na�ve?) thoguht that the only difference between the chips was the position of the gaps to prevent pc and mac chips being interchanged and to artificially keep seperat prices for the chips on the market....oops.
