When you put a new processor in a beige G3, you need to pull off the jumper
block and set jumpers to set the bus multiplier to get the processor
working at the correct speed. The jumper block is on the front left corner
of the motherboard underneath a sticker that says "Warrantee Void if
Removed".

You might have another problem though, Jim. A 350 zif is from a B&W which
has a bus speed of 100mhz, while your beige has a bus speed of 66mhz. I
think it will work with the slower bus speed, but I am not certain.

Here is a link to see how to set the jumpers for various processor speeds.

The jumpers you need are the small ones. If you go into your local pc chop
shop, tell them you need the smaller ones for the controller board of a
SCSI HD, not the larger ones for the back of the drive. If they are nice
they will give them to you, if not they may charge you a buck or two for a
pack of 7.
