Hi all. I was surfing and found that PowerLogix is showing a G3/800 upgrade
for the PCI Macs. (running at up to 20X allows a 50 MHZ bus to run at 16X
and a 40 MHZ bus in those PCI Macs that aren't stable at the 50 MHZ speeds
to operate at 20X)

Has anyone tried it or is it even available yet?

I've had problems with Sonnet conflicts before, so I don't use their
upgrades in my PCI Macs. (They're OK on my PBs, where I don't use programs
such as VPC.)

The price of $299 seems pretty good and except for the Altivec support,
I've seen that G3 vs G4 speeds are pretty much comparable.

Has anyone else entered the faster than 10X G3 and 9X G4 market? (NewerTech,
etc.) 20X capabilities could mean a 1 GHZ G3 in my 7600/8600s. (and perhaps
18X for G4s for a 7600 or 8600/G4/900?)

The specs are at: http://www.powerlogix.com/products2/pfg3/index.html
