I posted a while ago about major problems I was having with a TempoTrio (Firewire/USB2/IDE) card made by Sonnet and a PowerMac 9500. I think I narrowed the problem to perhaps 2 things.
One: Some sort of problem with Maxtor 120 Gig drives and the Card. The 120 Gig drive works great with a Sonnet ATA 100 card that I have. Two: PowerMac 9500 board issues and the card. I tried the card in another powermac 9500, and it works fine. The internal hard drive is a 20 gig WD IDE drive. I haven't had the chance yet to try the card in the affected 9500, but Sonnet was really good about providing new Firmware (latest beta of it). So, now I'm a happy user of a 9500 with a 700Mhz G4 with 1.5 gigs of memory and a 20 gig hard drive. OS X 10.2.4 works great on it, as does 9.1.
