160Mb sounds more like a minimum for OS X maybe.  I've run it on 64Mb 
with around 35 to 40 Mb free.  As a rule I would recommend 128Mb if 
you can put that much in the machine.  One source of confusion is 
that OS 9 varies the amount of RAM it takes dependent on how much RAM 
is available.  So OS 9 may use 64Mb on some machines with a lot of 
memory but it can run in a lower amount.

Launch the standard faire of applications you use and check the 
memory usage.  If it's tight you probably will want to get more. 
Also if you get more memory you can allocate more memory for the 
applications which can make them faster and in some cases more stable.
