Why is the Jaguar OSX icon a spotted fur like a leopard skin ???

Shouldn't it be more Jaguar coloured ???

Which Jaguar color?

I have yet to figure out how to make a BOOTABLE OSX CD that I can use
for running utilities.

Which utilities did you want to be able to run form a CD? So far, I haven't found a need for any utility in Jaguar except for the included Disk Utility. Although it won't do disk repair on the start-up disk, it will repair permissions. Between repairing permissions and the other maintenance routines, that seems to handle the care and feeding of my Jaguar. One cool thing about repairing permissions: you can even do it in the background while running other applications.

I had an interesting experience with a copy of my Jaguar installer CD 1, which is the disk that has Jaguar's Disk Utility on it. I had started my iMac with this CD to run the utility, but when I went to restart from the hard drive, I was unable to get it to do so. I would get stuck at the "option" screen and nothing would happen. I ended up having to boot into open firmware to eject the CD. I had forgotten that you could eject a CD (or other removable drive) by holding down the mouse key at startup.

No thank you Delmar, a third of a gopher would only rouse my appetite, without bedding it back down.
