The Buz will work in a G3 upgraded PCI PowerMac; for that matter, it does not really require the G3 instruction set.
However, it is very timing dependent and will not work well when the PCI bus is not running at 33.3MHz, as is the case in all pre-G3 PCI PowerMacs. Much like the IDE PCI cards.
